DE
FACTO

A terroir. Men.
Real wines.

a collaboration

History

De Facto is the fruit of close collaboration between Stellar and a magnificent vineyard.

We have a produced a fine wine using the most
natural techniques possible. The result of a selection from exceptional plots, it is a perfect expression of the identity of its native terroir.

Just like art, wine-growing reflects a philosophy, the mark of a wine-grower, sensitivity and commitment.

To mirror this story of passion, our vintage is decorated with a magnificent illustration of a sinuous vine plant, signed by the painter Thomas Chevalier.

“It’s true
I have a particular interest in twisted shapes, simply
because they are
so expressive.”

The artist

Thomas Chevalier

Born in Paris in 1955, self-taught artist Thomas Chevalier began his career in the late 1970s. He took part in several collective exhibitions under the sponsorship of Marcel Van-Thienen. A few years later, he ventured into the world of theatre and film where he participated in the design and creation of sets and learnt the art of decorative painting. Drawn to the world of cinema, he went on to work on numerous film productions such as: Chouans by Philippe de Broca or Camille Claudel by Bruno Nuytten.

Thomas gradually returned to painting in 1996 to eventually devote himself entirely to this art.
Over the last three years, Thomas has integrated various techniques in his paintings, blending figurative elements with abstract forms.

He exhibits regularly in Paris and Marne, where he has lived and worked since 2001.
